Hi,
Lampeyes seem to be getting more and more popular around me. One shop has a constant supply of really healthy looking ones - very bright.

However, I can't seem to find any information on them on the internet. I don't know what family they belnog to or anything.

has anyone else seen these and got any information?
Thanks a lot!

There are many many different species refered to as Lampeyes they vary in size as well. The ones you will probably come across in your LFS would be Aplocheilichthys Poropanchax normani as they are the most common.
I have never kept or bred any of the varieties yet but they seem to present little or no problems and are pretty much undemanding.

I hope this was of some help to you

Thats a useful link, thanks BigC. I found a little info about them from previous posts on here too. It was the size that threw me - LFS seem to have tiny ones and sites state they get up to 2".

Lovely to see a lot of them in a dark tank with lights on - I might get a few and see what they do.
