Im after a nice sorority tank of females its all set up but i cant find females any where :( any one out there know where i may get some?

Interesting post - there are only ever Male Beta's in my LFS.
Probably little demaind for females owing to lack of plumage.

You can always try online -
I've bought from Trimar Fish before, good online service but you have
to pay the delivery costs.
They have males and females listed.

Im in stoke on trent pets at home have some occasionally but i dont like providing them with my money :/

Not sure if you would be interested but there`s a seller on ebay who has a few females

Hmmm, if you're in the Atlanta Georgia area in the US, there's a petstore in Lawrenceville that sells A LOT of females, I've gotten all my girls from them, a blue-green, two cambodians (although the crowntail came from another store that also sold plenty of females), a little steel-blue, and two whites. Petsmart and Petco are the store names, and all my girls are nice and healthy.

my mums in atlanta georgia it may be worth begging her to go have a look
 it really is hard to get hold of them... im going to look at that ebay seller first

Try Aquabid.

It's expensive, but the fish are hardy.

I buy all my females from the local PetCo. These tend to not be very hardy though. At times I've experienced about a 50% death rate within the first three or so days. However, they do have a 30 day guarantee on their livestock, so I always get them replaced for free.

If you're adding females for the first time, I strongly recommend adding 5-10 at once, to limit bullying.

Beware that usually, the LPS's that carry "females" are usually Plakat males.

If you don't mind spending the money, I would highly suggest Aquabid. Shipping is pretty standard, so buy all your fish at once so you pay 25$ shipping once, instead of each time on multiple orders.

i use aqau bid as a last resort. i prefer to support the british breeders. because when i was breeding i had to contgend with the foriegn selers it was really tough competition :(

I understand that, sure. I go made in the USA first whenever I buy something.

However, we're talking fish.

If you get a weak fish from a breeder, it dies. Some people have a really hard time when their fish die.

i tend to except if a fish dies easy just the natural way of things i suppose...
any how i went round 6 fish shops today and the last one i went to had a tank full of females!!!!!!
