I have a lace plant in 20 gallon plant. I was initially hesitant about buying it, as my tank is low-tech and I read they can be difficult. The seller assured me in their experience they are quite easy to grow and the main problem was algae on the leaves, which would actually give my shrimp a place to graze.
I've had the plant now for eight months from a bulb. It grew quite quickly and has healthy, long leaves, but they never fully developed into the 'lace' appearance the plant is known for. For about four months now the plant hasn't really grown much or developed more, though it does still look healthy.
Is there something I can do to encourage it to grow more and develop that lace look?
