Hello I just set up new kuhli loach tank today, the tank size is 15 inches long x 13 inches wide x 12 inches high with 6 kuhlis. There are lots of mosquitos here so which fish can I add
In kuhli tank? @Colin_T

A male or female Betta is about all that will fit in that tank. The length is too short for most fish.

Make sure there is plenty of cover for the Khuli loaches.

Here is my tank, the substrate is shrimp clay substrate. Oh and can I let the plants float? Or i have to attatched it.

I don't know what shrimp clay is or what plants you have
Its a java fern, anubias and guppy grass. This is the substrate.

Java Fern needs to be attached to driftwood, rock or ornament. You can glue it onto them with superglue or tie it on with some white cotton sewing thread.

Anubias are garden plants that don't belong in aquariums. Lots of people have them but they aren't good for tanks. However, if you do have one, tie it to some driftwood or rocks like the Java Fern.

Guppy grass (Najas sp) should be planted in the substrate.

If you want floating plants look for Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides/ cornuta). It can grow on the surface but also planted in the substrate.

I have never seen or used the Fluval substrate so can't comment. Others might have and hopefully they can shed some light on it.
