Hi, Bit of advice needed please i was looking in my tank when i came home from work about 2 hours ago and could not see any of my 5 Kuhli loaches. Anyway after moving all the ornaments still none were to be found. I just pulled my Eheim 2075 filter apart and there were the Kuhli loaches all still alive in the media. Is there anything i can put over the green Eheim strainer to stop these little Worms (as my wife calls them) trying to escape again....any advice / ideas appreciated.......Cheers Colin

A piece of coarse filter sponge is usually best.

A bit of ladies tights/stocking/pantyhose is often recommended, but it's too fine and clogs too quickly.

Thanks guys, just my luck my wife does not wear stockings/tights, as for the coarse filter sponge i have an old used eheim blue filter media which i think will do, do i simply cut it and place it inside the green strainer ?

I think it is usual to cut a slit in the sponge and push the strainer tube down into the sponge. Then you just have to pull it off to wash it.

Don't quote me on that though as I only have internals

Yep, that's the best way.

Great sponge pre-filters- I use them on a number of canisters and power heads are the ATI Filter Max:

The come with a bunch of adapter pieces. Go for the #3. Not sure where to find them in the UK.

Many thanks for the great help and advice, i have jammed a little bit of blue coarse sponge inside the strainer for now, i have looked on the net for pre-filters to fit the Eheim strainer and also looked for the Ati filter max #3 available in the Uk but so far i have hit a blank.
