hey guys just a couple of quick question re kribs, in addition to the stocking question in general.

1. are they ok in a planted tank?

2. if i keep a pair will the femal get to much greif?

3. again if i have a pair and they breed will the chase everything else in the tnak (neons and tiger barbs)?

and finally given the porbs that may arise with a pair could two males be kept in a 30gl tank, with no fmeal or would this again cause problems??

Hi,

1. Yeah they are ok

2. No, Get a smaller female and a larger male as females can be aggresive towards the male...

3. Yes, they will keep all your fish in the opp corner of the tank from the nest and defend the nest vry aggessivly

4. soz not sure....

Most of the info has been taken from here: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=92382

Kribs are very aggressive when they breed and will often cause problems. You can try some larger, tougher, faster types of fish (serpae tetra maybe), but something small and weak like a neon is a bad choice of tankmate for them.
