Kribs Still Courting...

Hey Everyone!Sorry if i make to many topics.

Any from from my other topic i was telling u guys that my male was kinda chasing the female.Anyway that completly stopped after i cleaned the tank last weekend.I was definatly surpising.Now the female been courting the male and theyve been cleaning both the caves, but. i really don't get it.Don't they only clean 1 cave for spawning??
Like they go in the cave together come out a few seconds later and keep courting. It's constant.even when they're eating.
They are definatly a pair im pretty sure.


Does anyone when they will spawn?

It takes time. They tend to prepare several caves, and then pick one in the end. I believe another member on here had his kribs breed in several caves at once. It's an extraordinary situation. They are not known for that. Just wait it out, the kribs will figure out the whole breeding thing eventually.

BS are high in protein and will as it will provide good nutrition for the female and her eggs.

My Kribs dug out about 4 caves before they decided to spawn, and I believe they spawned in about 2 or 3 caves when they did. After she laid the eggs and were fertilized, she then moved them all into one cave.

The behavior you are describing of your Kribs sounds very promising. One day you will wake up and the female's belly will be almost white in color and she will be thinner. That is how I know my Kribs have spawned as she has released her eggs. She will then spend about 90% of her time in the cave where she has laid the eggs until they are free-swimming and she can herd them around the tank.

Let me try to explain it like this.

2 couples start dating. One of them gets married in 8 months, and then they have a child. The other couple don't get married at 8 months just because the other did. It could be 2-3 years for the other couple before they decide to get married. You can't time a persons relationship, you can't time a fishes either. Just wait it out.
