Kribs: Male Or Females?

I bought these kribs a couple of weeks ago and I was told they are a male and female. But after some research I'm not so sure! I reckon they are 2 females.

hard to say ive a pic of my pair, the female is smaller, more rounded with a deaper coloured belly and shorter finns.

you two look like my male

The photos dont really show it, but they both have rounded fins, your male has pointy elongated ones.

Also they arent very friendly towards eachother at the moment. The one with the redder belly chases the other one and takes all the best hiding places! Possibly a case of 1 female asserting her dominance over the other?

i think if they were male and female you would notice a difference, my female is much smaller than the male, with shorter fins and a big round belly, which turns purple and bright red. Mind you for a few months when i got mine they looked the same, i think it could be they are still young and once they become mature for breeding they will colour up more. di

It's hard to tell for me, the first one is female for sure, the second one im not totally sure of, why not ask in the old world chichlid board, thats where the krib fish questions belong...good luck man

sorry but thats 2 females that last pick almost looks like a mail but hes just to short and in all there pics there fins are rounded and as u can clearly see on that guys pic that the mail is longer with a ver pointed fin iv a pair and let me tell you youll no in a week or 2 because they multiply like crazy like bunnies
