Kribs Are Mating! :d

i have a couple kribs that i just saw mating and i was wondering how long it will be gravid for. thanks!

What do you mean by how long they'll be gravid for? Kribs lay eggs that tend to take a few (4-5 from memory) to hatch and a couple more to become free swimming.

Do you mean you saw them "showing off" to each other? This could go on a while and you might not necessarily get anything in the way of eggs to show for it the first few times.

It's interesting to watch though!

they were swimming around each other and it kind of looked like they were fighting.

Well it sounds like they might be getting things going. Do they have a cave to use? I think I can make out a plant pot in your signature photo.

yes, they have 2 caves

before they started her belly was very red and now it's not red at all.


and she is a little more yellow


i just went and looked at them and the male is strait up and down. he has his head towards the bottom and his tail to the top. 


if he dies i will be just about ready to quit on my aquarium and sell all my fish

it looks like he may be hiding from the female. i just scared him out and the female just chased him all over the tank.
