Hi,

I've got a 50us gallon planted / caved tanks currently stocked with a pair of blue acaras, pair of 3 spot gouramis, 1 cuckoo catfish (stunning!), 3 cory cats, 2 aglae eaters (going to get massive!! oops) 4 harlequin rasbosas and 6 cardinal tetras.

I have always wanted a pair kribs but I'm not sure is having two different chiclid types will all end in fishy tears!

What about apistogrammas instead? Any other suggesions?

Cheers.

with the acaras already in the tank, there is a very good chance they will attack any new cichlid additions.
they will probably also, when big enough, eat your tetras and harlequins. unfortunately, it sounds like you have had the misfortune to have met the usual type of shop owner, the only interested in the money type!!

listen to the advice of people here, they'll help more than any shop owner/employee.
