my kribensis have laid egs for the second time an i want to know if i can remove the eggs before they hatch to another tank or if the need to stay where they are with the perants. this is the second time for them the first time i hd 13 new fish 6 females for sure i have removed 7 of them still trying to get the rest into my other tank thank you moose

Removing eggs is very hard because kribensis lay on the tops of caves and you will probably kill most of the eggs trying to remove them. If you want a good survival rate you would be better siphoning the newly born fry out of the tank. It's easier to remove them when they are very small.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if you mean there are a heap of young kribs from the last spawning I would remove them ASAP or you will have aggression issues because the parents have spawned again.

Personally I would only remove the eggs if the adults are being aggressive and attacking other fish, like I said it's a lot easier to remove the babies.

Sure you can remove the eggs and hatch them in a different tank. But, you will need to put in 1 drop of Acriflacin, and 6 drops of Methylene Blue per gallon. I suggest you put the eggs in a 1 gal jar and leave the lid off, and put it in your tank ( have the mouth of the jave above the water), and put in the med's i told you, and a air pump. Dont scrape the eggs off the laying rea, just pic up the ornamet and put it in the jar. I would suggest moving 50 percent of the water in the jar a day and putting in new water, and 1 drop of Acriflavin and 3 drops of Meth Blue. You should get a excellent hatch rate. After they become free-swimming i suggest you put them in their own tank and start feeding them immeadiatley with BBS.

This belongs in the African/ Oldworld Cichlid Area.
