Kribensis

Okay... then yes... they are about the same size as my Kribs, which means, my Kribs should lay around as many eggs as yours lays.

That would make sense, but it also depends on how much protien they are eating, and how old the female is. The older females lay more eggs.

Yeah, the female is not that old I don't think? I feed Frozen Brine Shrimp once or twice a week.

Frozen Brine shrimp alon are almost nutritionless. Now, if they have been gutloaded with Sprinula, then they are actually worth the price. If not, it won't do much.

Thanks for letting me know that!

Let me ask you this then:

What kind of foods do you feed your breeding pair of Kribs?

Yeah congratulations on the eggs!. My male has dug a pit under a peice of bogwood, but I dont think the female is anywhere near ready yet she is tiny compared to him, although he is near 4" he is the biggest krib I have ever seen!

My krib is about that size as well! The female is still guarding the cave, and the male just swims around it in circles. So, I am assuming the eggs are fertile.

So, I believe I have wrigglers. I can see the bottom of the cave, and she is spending an awful a lot of time picking at the ground, which I am assuming is covered in wrigglers, hence her picking at the ground.

Thanks! The female has been moving back and forth to a new cave, and now she is defeding the new cave. I have a feeling she moved the wrigglers. She has been playing the flirt game with the male all night. I don't know what's she trying to accomplish. But she sure is beautiful!

I bet dude, their colors are spectacular when they are in spawning mode!

Yeah, my female does the same thing...move the eggs all over the place...lol...

Hey congratulations wrigglers :) nice to be able to see the development.

Thanks. Well, I have noticed the kribs ignoring the caves more and more, and them just swimming around in all the caves. So, I checked, and no babies. I can't find them anywhere. I guess they were either eaten, or they never hatched.

Probably got eaten. I lost my first brood in the wriggler stage (pretty sure it was via the snails, a large MTS was in the nest and i think that ate them all)

My second brood went well though and 12 hatched out, 2 remain now,2 months later, the parents have tried again, unsuccessfully, and will be trying again any day now. Meanwhile the first 2 fry are doing really well and are never with their parents any more really

Sorry to hear about this Krib!

I think I may have a couple very small snails in my Krib tank, would this oppose a threat to my eggs? I mean these snails are really small.

My female is about ready to lay again! I have never seen her so fat with eggs before!
