I have an empty 15 gal tank and I'm considering a pair of Kribs for it. Tank dimensions are 24x12x12. Recomendations on the 'net are generally 15-20 gal but rarely do they mention tank dimensions. (Something I feel is a more important number with cichlids) This would be a species tank, appropriately set up for them. If you have experience in keeping kribs, I would like to hear your opinion.

that tank is fine for a pair of kribs.
you may wish to have a few dithers to encourage them to spawn
and remove the dithers when they have fry.

I have used danios in the past, but catching them can be a pain.
I now use dawn tetras.

Thanks Wolf, I was hoping that this would work out. I have an empty 20 gal, but it has the same footprint as the 15gal. (24"x12") I'm guessing that there would be no real advantage to using the 20gal?

I saw some very nice kribs yesterday while searching out Multies for my shell-dweller tank. That tank has been ready for fish for several weeks now and I'm having one heck of a time locating some. MTS is definitely taking hold of me!

Do you know of any small west-African fish from similar waters that would work as dithers for Kribs?
