i bought two of these 2 day there both about 2 inches big they seem really happy and very hungry!! , did a little reasearch about them, but just wouldered what else do they like to eat
and has any of got pics of theres??

also i know there community fish but would they eat neon tetra`s??

im going to try and get some pics they look like little oscar`s to me..

Well, they would enjoy most live and frozen foods such as blood worm and daphnia.

Where the word community is used in conjunction with these fish, caution should be exercised. If they are male and female you can pretty much garauntee they will spawn. If they do, some of the other fish might get harrassed a bit.

In my experience, no major damage done, but they can get feisty.

For pictures try this

edit: your tetras will not be eaten

they look a little bit like this

PELVICACHROMIS pulcher is this a type of Kribensis

how do i tell male and females apart?

Males tend to get slightly larger, and have pointed dorsal and anal fins where the females are more rounded/short. This can sometimes be hard to determine when they are young. The female will also have a more colorful belly, a kind or red/purple.

that fish is not a kribensis by ANY measure... i realize that isn't a picture of your fish directly, but who ID'd your fish as kribensis? it's a bit important to verify that you've actually got kribs and not something that'll get too big and mean for your tank.

also, what size tank do you have?

Seems I got a little confused here... I thought someone else had posted that picture to help you identify what you had, but turns out you submitted it yourself.

If it looks like that, then it is most definitely not the fish that I was mentioning. Sorry about that. I have no idea what the fish in the pic is, so really, all my input has been utterly useless.

Pelvicachromis is commonly referred to as kribensis, hence why when you referred to kribensis, I thought of that fish. There is another african cichlid which is a "true" kribensis, which could well be what you are meaning.

Again, sorry for getting things mixed up.

im starting to think the fish shop has gave me the wrong name also goin to try and get a decent pic ...

i have a 75 gal tank

so far in the tank there is 2 kribs??? 5 harlequins, 5 neon tetras and 1 baby common plec which is rapidly growing by the day

they have got so much space to swim..

ive got some pics who can i send them to host them???
