Bought my first pair of Kribs about 10/11 days ago, definite male and female. I have them in a 4ft tank with lots of wood and live plants, pots for caves etc. with neons and golden pencilfish.

Question is in regard to their behaviour. Whenever the two come into contact with each other they both flare up their fins for about 1-2 seconds (at most) before the male chases the female off, more or less until she loses him or hides somewhere. This has been happening since day 1 and I'm finding it difficult to feed her, she used to come out for food and obviously he did too, so he chased her off. Now she's spending a lot more time hiding and only eating if I manage to get some food right in front of her hiding spot.

He eats happily while she's hiding so not worried about him, but she's clearly stressed out by it and I don't see a lot of her. Any advice for what action I should take? Or should I just leave them to it?

Thanks

He won't calm down until the 'excess' females are removed, but that should be easy enough. Cheers.
