Kribensis Male Help

I ave a young pair of "Moliwe" and they are very nice, even when not fully coloured up. Chances are the female has stressed him out and he is just settling. This is my young pair of "Moliwe"
Male.

That's lucky, I have not been able to find them anywhere near me. Much rarer than pulcher, beautiful fish!

Yeah, I was very lucky to find them. I payed £30 for this pair and 4 young, un-sexed Matadi.

Yeah, from looking at picture alot of the google pics seem to be Nigerian reds instead of actual Moliwe. I see the difference now I've looked and looked. It's just my male has the mouth like the link that gregswimm posted... He's also going that colour.

IDK about the sub-species, but it is Pelvicachromis taeniatus for sure.

I'm just going to say that Latin names don't really register with me. I'm guessing Pelvachromis Taeniatus are the Nigerian Yellows, Moliwe, Nigerian Reds, etc, etc?

Paradise<3 ones are deffinetly nigerian reds as breed countless amounts of them and pelvichromis is my speciality

beleave it or not there are over 70 species of pelvicachromis and there have recently been 3 more species discovered in the wild

I know there's a lot... Latin names just generally confuse me... Unless it's Betta Splendens or Livebearers.

well unfortunatly all of the pelvicachromis species apart from the common kribensis (pelvicachromis pulcher) which is the kribensis, albino kribensis and super red kribensis apart from that its latin names all the way lol generaly most people just miss out the pelvicachromis or pelvicachromis taeniatus part and just call them by there last part of there latin name

From what I've gathered my 2 species are Nigerian Red's and Ocellated.
