I saw some koi colored swordtails at PetsMart awhile back and they were so pretty. They looked just like this:

Some where half orange, some were a orange-white-orange. I did notice that the males tails were shorter than a typical swordtail's, but they were still totally beautiful. Do you know anything about them? I looked them up and somewhere was selling them for much more expensive than I saw them for at the store. Any tidbits you know woudl be interesting, or has anyone else even heard of them?

Their very fragile fish though, I've know a few people who have got them in the past and they have not lasted long unless you have perfect water condations.

How ever their a stunning fish and worth a go if want to try them.

that is nice, do u know how they were breed? i do not think a white one cross with red one will end up like this

their not a freak their line breed to their almost all the same, first saw them 5 years ago

I have both the regular and the albino koi. They grow as big as regular swords but the males sword is not quite as big as the regular swords on mine. I have noticed that mine do not breed as frequently or have very large broods and they can be rather delicate but other than that they are cared for in the same way as other swords. I have had mine for 6 months now with very few problems.
