Knife Fish Species?

can anyone tell me what the sizes and temperaments of all the different species of knife there are?, really like them but dont want to keep any that get way too big and eat my flock!!

Well, there are too many species of knives to mention, sizes vary greatly from the small 4 inch artedi knife to the mammoth aba aba knife at 60 inches, but for the most part you wont find a species under 8 inches at adult length. The temperment really depends on the species of knife. Some arent really aggressive, just territorial. Some knives are highly aggressive and territorial.

Clown knife, It can grow up to 2 feet or so, eats anything that move and can fit in its mouth
