Kissing Gourami's

There are only two variations of kissing gourami. The 'pink' form and the 'green' form which is found in the Wild.

That picture looks like a female dwarf gourami, you can tell by looking at the dorsal fins and anal fins.

No other gouramis kiss, most gouramis 'feel' each other or bite each other when fighting.

Gourami Lover88: it can't be a moonlight gourami, to start their body is silver, and the dorsal/anal find are quite different, as is the shape of it's tail.

Could be. Here's a pic of the Dwarf Gourami from the following site....

Again, the description provided is very poor.

The picture I've provided is that of the 'male', as he is more brighter than the female (I hope I'm right).

I've only seen them 'kiss', and on the rare occassion nip each others rear-ends.

I'm flummaxed as to what they are. I'm beginning to think they may have been labelled incorrectly by my local fish store.

I'd agree you do not have a Kissing Gourami, neither forms match your descriptions and as you have a male and female I should think you have Dwarfs the easiest to distingiush between sexes.

Everyone, thanks for your help. :D

A growing part of me is beginning to be persuaded that they're Dwarf Gourami's. Nevertheless, I shall treat them no differently than my other fishes.

Thanks again.... :)
