I think they'd be quite capable of uprooting a plant because they can grow to 20cm.

hey TIMMYSTOOD,
my two pink kissing gourami just gently suck the algae off my plants, they are only babys though  .
good luck with them i love those big lips they have i call mine mick and pete after mr burns  .
cheers DONNA.

Yeah it's funny... I went to my LFS to sort out my lighting and I thought, while i'm here i'll just have a quick look at what they've got in... then I saw these two things with big lips! I had to look at the price info tag to see what they where (first time in ages!) saw that they where kissing gourami's and said "I'll have them 2" .... Bloody impulse buying!

how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking?
mine were on offer £7 for two.

My 8-9" Kisser just attempts to suck the algae/organisms off the plant, but s/he is so strong it doesn't work so well. The plant usually ends up becoming uprooted within a few days. So now s/he has fake plants.

I hope you have a really big tank Timmy! Two Kissers will need a lot of room, because they get big and they can be aggressive to each other. My one Kisser is in a 40g, soon to be upgraded to a 90g.

Kissers can and will eat plants that are soft once they reach a large enough size to cut bits off.
