Your in the the right order group but not a leaf fish of any kind, it would have to be imitating some very large leaves Think bigger, a lot bigger.

Polycentropsis abbreviata only grows to 8cm.

I might as well tell you as youre never going to guess it thinking along the lines of those small fish, its a Dwarf Nile perch; Lates microlepis

Dwarf because it only gets to about 30 inches rather than the 60 inches its bigger cousin Lates niloticus can reach

Well.... i have no idea on oddballs so i did quite well seeing fish base and google helped me most! and wot size tank u keepin him in is he gets 30" ?

It will be going into a 1200 gallon pond eventually, but for now its in a 80 gallon because its only a tiddler.
