Hey, so if you read one of my other posts, I currently have a high Nitrite or Nitrate level, (forget what the pet store said)
but once it's all good, I'd like to buy a few mollies to go with my 2 females, I currently have 1 dalmatian molly & one black molly, I'd like to get another creamsicle lyretail male, but what other mollies are nice to have? I don't really plan on breeding them, so it doesn't matter, but I'd like to have a variety :) I live in Ontario, if that makes a difference of what kinds of mollies there are :)

I would bet that your selection of pet shop mollies is much like mine Sims Dude. Ontario is simply not that far from me.
I have rather enjoyed the orange body colored pet shop strain that has lots of black markings on it. I think they are spectacular to look at compared to so many other mollies. Any pet shop molly is a second best to wild type in my own opinion but once in a while I find a pet shop variety that strikes my fancy. If I had a wide open choice I would choose either a P. velifera or maybe a P. latipinna. Both wild type mollies are far superior, to those of us who keep wilds, to any pet shop molly.
As in anything else, beauty is still in the eye of the beholder.
