I am learning to take better pics. Please state your device if you don’t mind. These were taken with a lens attached to my iPad cam lens. It simply clamps over the lens

. I’m getting a better camera set up, but haven’t done enough research yet to know what to buy.

She has a DSLR?
Yeah. A Canon DSLR EOS Rebel SL1 with a 1:3.5-5.6 28-80mm lens. It’s a nice camera, but it’s been in use for over 10 years, so it is finicky and only works when it wants to.

edit: It’s also a very expensive camera bought new. The lens was also bought new. Probably worth 800 dollars right now. It’s really fun to Take pictures with.

I use an iPhone 11. Mine are by no means anything incredible. @JennySolano what generation or type of IPad do you have? Before I got my IPhone, I had a 6th generation iPad. I still use it for art and to play games with my sisters, but the photos quality on it was awful!View attachment 150473View attachment 150474View attachment 150475View attachment 150476View attachment 150479View attachment 150480View attachment 150481View attachment 150483View attachment 150482View attachment 150485View attachment 150486View attachment 150487View attachment 150488View attachment 150489
Great pics!!! Love your ax,s ❤

I also use my moms phone for normal pictures. It’s the same as @OliveFish05’s. For some reason the pics on the phone are really nice. Below are one of my most prized fish - my Gymnogeophagus Terrapurpurra and a water hyacinth. I’ll have to dig up some better pics later with my moms phone.

She has a DSLR?

Interesting! I bought possibly the 1st Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT circa 2005. Has a 18-55 mm & a 70-210. No macro setting. Recently bought a Canon Macro Lens that wouldn’t mount properly. So returned. Camera etc pricey at the time, $1000 as I recall. Paid for itself. Sold articles & photos of my pet parrots to leading bird mags, targeting pet owners. Nothing academic. My birds often illustrated other people’s articles

BUT! I can’t get it to work worth 💩 on the fish or even the axies. I’ve had enough of trying & will buy a more fish friendly outfit soon.
Nice…kinda!
Gorgeous! You have aquatic plants that blossom above the water line? I want some!
I have Water Hyacinth and Anacharis as well as Giant Water Snowflake, which hasn’t bloomed yet
saw some old Canon DSLR going really really cheap on eBay. I will likely give mine to my little niece

Thanks! Kirby, Ponyo, and Wobbles are their names.
Outstanding! Do you use the flash? I’m have a old Gen 5 Ipad on life support. Ordered a new one that won’t be here until 1/22. Forgot model. Cost around $300 in grey & $500 for identical device in black 😹😹😹
thanks! Nope, no flash. Between the different lights and window I don’t need it. That is hilarious! I think my gen 6 was around $400 when I got it back in 2018… mines in Rose Gold. It works really well for games and art and such but the pics are no good!
