LOL! They love burying themselves in the sand, I was fortunate to capture it this time!

To be truthful, I had just carried out a sizeable water change, and the temperature of the water had dropped a couple of degrees. I think he was basking in the sand for this long because it is heated!

HAHA nice pics! Mine do that in 3mm gravel all the time, its almost like they have a tunnel complex down there. You can be looking at the tank and all of a sudden up pops kuhli

Jon, ROFL! earlier (before the pic) I was watching him weave in and out of the sand. At the front of the tank, you could see the tunnels he had carved
