hi

i really like the look of these guys and would like to know if they will eat fish like ember tetras once fully grown, the embers are at about 2.5cm so full size, also in the tank will be a pair of blue rams and trillineatus cories

I used to have 2 keyhole cichlids, they are really tame, but i got some tetras and they were about 2cm big and they did peck at them and a lot of them ended up dying.

I wasnt sure if they had killed them or they had just died but they were eating them.

I have keyholes with neons and they never chase them, keyholes are probably the most peaceful fish and if you get two you will love watching them interact with each other.

from personal experiance truck, the best thing to do is buy them as juvi's. Then they will grow up with the neons and behave better towards them, they do chase other fish, why wouldnt they? but they are still peaceful. i have two females.

Keyholes are awesome. They are fine with small fish. I keep mine with xray tetras that were only half an inch when I got them never had a problem.

Only problem was when I kept my full grown male with a blue gourami. My keyhole pestered it to death. Besides that I never gave a problem he lives with 2 rams and they get along great.
