Hi, i got two keyholes at the weekend, one of them is is fine and swimming around normally, however the other is laying on its side on the bottom of the tank. The gills are moving fast and look a little red. Any one know what may have caused this? All other fish are fine and have no problems, please check profile for other fish in the tank.

T ank stats are.

PH 7.0
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 20
Nitrite 0

Cheers Gordon

Your water stats are fine.
Red gills poor water quality, gill flukes, to bacterial.
Is the fish rubbing it gills on objects.
Do the gill look like they are bleeding.
Gill flukes can cause bacterial infections on top, as when the parasite pierce the skin, in there hooks they carry a nasty bacteria which enter the blood stream of the fish.
If the fish is laying to one side sadly not sounding to good.
Sorry.
