i have a big Q

will the fish die if they had been in dark place for almost 8 to 10 hours?

they will had the filter and temp ok

it hapend twice with me !!

I doubt they'd die from been in the dark too long, i've had mine in dark for 3days straight before and they was fine!!
maybe check your water?

No fish definitely don't die in the dark. What happens at night time every day? When I had to go away for a day in the middle of a freezing spell I covered all my tanks with old duvets to keep them warm as the heating in my home is unrelaible. All fish were fine after 24 hours in the dark and I have 7 tanks with everything from plecs and cichlids to goldfish
As others have said
1. make sure your filter is working properly and not blocked or dirty sponges

2. Check water chemicals esp ammonia which kills fish

if you have small fish like neon tetra these get sucked into the filter then get spat back out makeing it look like thay just died with no cause.

Fish get shipped, 24-48 hours, in closed styros, which are dark. This is how most get to your local shop. If they died due to this shops would not order this way.

but as you said some thing happen at night that killed them or they just want to die than live with me lol

Did you test for Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate?

What is the stock in the tank?
It's possible you might have an aggressive fish in there eating them at lights out

they all dies so there was no bad fish that killed every body and then her\ hem self ??

and the water is clean coz they had been for a week in there and they were small sized as you told me to get small size fish at the same type

it is a big ? why in dark they die??
