I have read posts where people say to keep separate nets, etc for each tank. How far do you take this?? I don't mind having a separate net and separate gravel vac for each tank but what about buckets? Python fittings? Do you have separate of those too? I don't think I have room for 3 different buckets.

How big are the buckets? Get stackable ones.

The way I see it, you only need two buckets. One to collect water, and one to add new. That way, the bacteria and parasites aren't transferred.

You could also set up a solution to kill parasites and bacteria and use it for a while to clean the nets. Not sure how long the solutions would last, though, so it might be better to go with the extra equipment.

The buckets are 3 gallon-great idea on getting just 2. The way the one fits, 2 stacked may not fit in that spot but I could keep one in the bathroom that we don't use much. I think I'll get another tomorrow.

What kind of solution would disinfect the nets? Like I said I don't mind having separate of those (in fact, I do although I don't have a net for my 2 gal tank).

I buy prepared net soak and keep my equipment in that  I change the solution weekly, but that is one more bucket -_-

I have 1 bucket, 1 gravel vac and a few nets i use for everthing.

I'm looking for a bigger bucket though.

At work we put the nets in a forumlin solotion, at home I don't bother though as your not using them constantly.
