Keeping My Cycle Going With One Fish

I now have only 1 salvini cichlid in my tank as im waiting for malawis to arrive, im worried that my cycle will be lost...if i keep my salvini in the tank will he be enough to keep the cycle alive or should i plonk it more food than required daily?

Your filter bacteria will grow as much as they need to cycle as much waste as is being produced by what is in your tank. if you add more fish, keep a close eye on Ammonia and NitrItes, changing water as and when required.
