Juwel rio 400-shelves?

I am putting an external filter in a Juwel rio 400 tank, this tank has the standard cabinet which you get when you buy this from the FS, the question i have is it safe to remove a shelve from the cabinet to house my external filter? currently the drawer is split in 2 therefor i a need a bit more height to fit it in neatly, that is my reason. i just wondered if i removed it would it weaken the cabinet considerably or not

Nope, removing 1 of the slehves to house your filter will be fine.

Hi,
I can agree removing a shelf from a jewel cabinet makes no difference to the structural strength of the cabinet i know this because i have a jewel vision 180 marine tank with an external filter in the cupboard and a rio 400 which houses my beer fridge in between the cupboards.
