Juwel Rekord 700 Heater?

Hiya, I set up my new tank today and all seems to be ok, other than me constantly messing with it as I can't get it to look the way I want!!
However, I cannot tell if my heater is working. Has anyone got a Juwel tank with the integrated heater/filter system and can tell me how to check? I can't see a light anywhere, and the tank is still very cold but I don't know if this is due to the large amount of water and it taking a while to heat. Thanks Amy xx

It will take a long time to heat, there should be a light somewhere on the heater, there is on both of mine, if not just sit it out, it could take a few days.

I have that tank too, its not big only 70L but the heater is only 50W so took over 24hrs to hit 24c. The heater does have light just turn the heater untill you see the orange light

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

BigbruiserAl, with the heater being hidden in the filter case I couldn't see the light so I unplugged it, took it out and turned it back on again in the water and saw it.
It's so dim!! But at least I know it's working.
How have you found the tank and how have you got it stocked? I'm quite excited as I only had a Fluval Edge before so this tank is huge compared to that!!

If you take the top of the pannel and peer in i can see the orange light on through the vent(almost like a orange reflection).
My 70L holds 300 baby apples at the moment i have a 220L and a 350L as main tanks

Baby apples?!?!
I wish I could go bigger but unfortunately I have to have the tank in the living room and I live with my parents still and my mom isn't keen on a big tank!!
