Juwel Heaters Beware !

I have had my heater for over 5 months now and not has a problem.In the last few weeks a fair few of my fish have died aswell as plants .I bought another thermometer today and realised it was the temprature of the water.It was rising from 29 degrees right to 32 degrees this morining.I have turned the thermostat on the heater but nothing happened.I will now have to get a new heater has anyone else had this problem?

I had the Juwel heater for about a year when I noticed the water
went upto about 34C. I took the filter out and added a spare.
About a week later I put it back in and there were no problems.
The same ones in there still now.

Yours may have broken completely so add a new one incase.
I would recommend the visitherm brand.

if you bought it new take it back. also make sure the new juwel heater is made by hydor!
its quite common, especially with none Hydor, juwel heater.

my juwel heater broke at 4pm on xmas eve last year,giving me 30 mins to get to lfs and purchase another.just about made it in time,i had no heat flutuation though.it just blew and broke.
