Wanting to remove my juwel rocky background . any brain waves of how to do this ?

thank you

Hi

Like previous poster, I guess your tank is empty. Break off as much of the background as possible to expose silicone adhesive. If it is too difficult to remove mechanically then I believe there are silicone disolvers/softeners available in the DIY shops.

If this works (I have never tried it) then be sure to thoroughly clean the tank after as the disolver is bound to contain nasty stuff for fish! Also, keep it well away from any silicone that has been used to construct your tank!!!!!!!

They stick like Poo to a Duvet - Past experience has shown that getting some of it off and then attacking the silicon with a scraper fitted with a Stanley blade works fairly well. If the tank is large get it on its back on the floor and start hacking away.

N.B. If anyone is fitting one from scratch don;t use silcon - A bit of expanding foam and a good push works well and they sort of snap out again in the future, It forms a vacuum that holds it in enough.
