I have a Rio 300 and love it. I have the bowfront (which i wouldnt have again) and i find it a fantastic tank.

Maidenhead Aquatics are good - just got my new Fluval Roma 240 delivered by them. Try your local branch and see if they deliver.

Other than that, Seapets deliver.

Your local Maidenhead Aquatics should price match any internet offer you see, as long as you can provide a webpage printout of the offer

I used this to get my local MA to price Seapets' deal on my Rio240 (with cabinet; sand; conditioner; net; background; delivery) for £350 back in late March... Shocking how much prices have gone up since then!

A lot of places have the old Rio 300.
The new Rio 300 is taller and is rated for 350L but in reality is less as the manufacturer measurements tend to be external.
The new Rio 300 also has recently been further updated and has a taller cabinet.

So just check carefully which one you are buying.

I got mine from Arkpets online. Excellent customer service and price and they deliver themselves and help you carry everything in.

they are so overpriced its unreal. £609!!!!!!!!!! do yourself a favour and check out nd aquatics for that money you can get a 4x2x2 and still have enough left to get filter etc. or if you already have the equi[ment you can get a 5x2x2 . and you will have a much better quality tank as well .

edit: 5x2x2 even cheaper £466 under special offers

I had actually looked at ND Aquatics and they have a good reputation.
Price wise there was little difference.
At their current prices 4x2x2 is £499 for tank & cabinet.
You then need to add on lights (£84 for one set - Juwel Rio300 comes with 2), filter (Juwel has internal), heater etc.
My maths is not as good as it used to be but thats not to far from £609.

Arkpets price for that specific product is not not far off the best if not best,

Scotty, decide what your budget is. Do you want a new setup or a used setup?
How will it look in the position you are going to keep it in and the fish that you are likely to keep?
Research the choices and look for the best price.

hi scotty, i have a rio300 great tank but as you say pricey, check around you might get a secound hand tank i picked mine up on gumtree £250 with a 2213 some saving..

you dont need to pay 84 quid for lights , just get arcadia lights from warehouse aquatics £19.95 each .

plus the quality of the nd tank knocks spots off these "package" tanks , so if for the same money by the time you add the other equipment , why wouldnt you want a far superior product? plus the extra volume as well 450l over 300l . imho youd be bonkers to spend that kind of money on a smaller tank that has nowhere near the same level of build quality.

when i upgraded i looked at juwels fluvals etc , and almost bought a roma 240 , then i found nd and got theirs instead , and im glad i did .
just my 2 pence worth lol

all i would need to add is the lights and probably a 300w heater,already have everything else,maybe a stupid question,but do the nd aquatics tanks come with lids,and do they deliver yo scotland??

comes standard with polished edges , cover glass , choice of blac or clear silicone , polistyrene , cabinet and hood . and from personal experience i can vouch for a 1st class after sales care. plus instead of the usual doorstep delivery , they have their own delivery man who helps you carry in the cabinet and position the aquarium on top too.and yeah im prety sure they deliver to scotland
