Hullo, again!

Iam sorry to keep bombarding the board with questions!

But I understand that a cichlid tank needs plenty of filtration, some people say x10.

My tank is 125l and my powerhead is a 400, so that is just 3 and bit times an hour.

Iam about to get a new p/head, I have my eyes on a Juwel 1000, so that would give me around x8 an hour.

My question is will the 1000 blow the fish around too much, or is that amount of current okay in the place it will be generated in a Juwel tank?

Thanks ever so much, again.

My fish don't have a problem with the current, but i do as it removes all the sand from the opposite corner. Mt tank sounds about the same size as yours and i have a 1000lph filter.

I would have thought you only need that type of filtration if you overstock?

you sure it aint the cichlids movin ya sand mate they are proliic re decorators lmao they always moving mine around,

Just put my new 1000 in my tank, fish seem loads happier in the current.

Iam not suprised, my old one was a 200, not a 400. Barely suitable at all.
