would a gourami eat another smaller fish? one of my tetras has gone missing!

any fish will eat fish that can fit into its mouth.

What species of gourami, what species of tetra? Another fish is more likely to be responsible for the tetra's dissappearance IF that's what happened. I would check in the filter if it was a small tetra (eg: neon) and around the tank incase it jumped out. Also, if you have an undergravel filter or any ornaments with holes in them, check under/inside.

i have checked everywhere and its not there! its a gold gourami and was a neon
