if a fish keeper gets bitten and bleeds due to an attack, what needs to be done to maintain the health of the fish, and any risk factors involved. just curious

do you have access to Melafix(tm) ?
if not I suggest getting some asap.
Melafix will act as a wound sealer (think invisable plaster/band-aid)
and also helps stem bacterial infections.

Personally, I'd go with Neosporin for human wounds. :p

Unless you lost a significant amount of blood in the tank, I think your fish will be fine. If you're really concerned, you could do a partial water change.

BTW, what fish bit you?
