My oscar looks really uncomfortable in my 75 gallon tank. He just stays in one corner and goes up and down side to side against the glass. I have changed the rock layout to try and make him feel more sucure in the tank. The jewel is the same. They are in a 75 gallon with a bn pleco, 3 jd's, and a texas that seems to torment the jd's but not the oscar. what can i do to make him look more comfortable.

Well this tank is overstocked really, but if they are all small it may seem it is'nt. Rearranging the rock work work usually does work, but sometimes you just have really aggressive fish. The Texas most likely does'nt bother the oscar or jewel because it knows they are'nt a threat. If you want to keep all those fish for now, the only thing I can think of is to get some large fake plants to break up the tank/territory.

the texas is going back tomorrow any ways and i will split them up with another 75 gallon or upgrade to a 150 or 180 or something when the hoildays arrive

Well taking back the Texas will make a big differnce. With cichlids there will always be a pecking order, so just be prepared for some aggression after you bring back the Texas.

okay, i will probably get more rock and more fake plants to help seperate territoies
