Any way after a few hours of hard work clearing where my shed is goin i came hom to fine them wrapping and they were both so good and collected the eegs together. Thy haven't produced hundreds of eggs but as they are first timers i will let them off lol.

Well he is being a very good daddy so far so fingers cross he continues to do so, his nest is hoooge now it is spreading on the outside of the cup...i think he is makin up for sommin :shifty: lol

Well its been a couple of days and no fry, plus i can't see any eggs now so i am gunna give it one more day and declare it a fail. While reconditioning the pair to try again iwll set up the Greengas male and blue yellow female and hopefully have better luck

Sorry to hear that Shell :( like you say, give it another day just in case a few have hatched and are hidden from view. Fingers crossed the next one goes ok :good:

Ahhh
Sorry to hear that, hopefully better luck next time.

Sorry hear that .. keep trying those would be hella cute babies!!!

How would you know if the nest is ready ??

Its more a case of when the fish are ready, some pairs will spawn with no nest at all and create it as they go along

Well well well.

Was going to move the male tonight into another tank and reuse the one he is in for another pair (its the nicer tank) but when i was looking at him earlier i saw him nip to the bottom pick sommin up and spit it back in the nest. On close inspection, and i mean very close, i saw 3 fry tucked away very discreatly in his nest. Not many but for his first go i will let him off.

I will set up the other pair still butat least i know he can do his job
