Just thought since i joined the forum and have already asked a question, i may as well introduce myself and whatnot.
i'm not new to fishkeeping, but before about a week ago i'd only ever kept african cichlids and pl*cos. last week i ended up getting a betta and 4 platies -- one of which just gave birth yesterday, and two more of which are still preggo.
and... somehow.... a few days ago i came home with a brand new betta. he was just too pretty to leave sitting in a little plastic box hardly bigger than him.
so now i've got my big african tank (and by big i doubt anyone here would see my tank as big, comparatively -- it's only 12 gallons), a 5 gallon betta and platy tank, and a 2 gallon betta tank. now every time i mention fish my mother practically goes into cardiac arrest -- "NO MORE TANKS!" she has declared.
*sad sigh*
but there will come a day when i will have a basement full of fish tanks. oh yes, there will come a day.
