Just looking for some input

ok this is the situation-i have a 90g w/these cichlids in it
1 gt
1 carpenti/carpentus depends on which lfs i go to
 :hmm:
1 black con
the gt won't let the con out of his corner when he does it's to have a quick lip lock w/the carp,the lip lock last bout 3sec then the gt comes by and chases only the con,very rarely does he go after the carp.
so my question is this do you think it's worth having the con in this tank?do you think the con will ever be able to come out of his corner for more than a few seconds?
my gt is not very aggressive at all,but the carp is a trouble maker knowing this what do you guys/gals think?

Gt= Green Terror

Highly unlikely the con will ever have room to roam. The GT has developed a behavior of keeping this fish corraled.
Although cons can in their own right be down right nasty...don't think it will happen here.

IMHO the con is probably stressed and prolly not at it's best. Plus the fact these three fish are sole inhabitants of a 90 gallon pretty much tells me it's corner is all it's ever going to get.

i agree,he does handle himself very well,but i'm sure that corner is all he'll see.

i do have other fish in the tank,these are the only CICHLIDS in my 90g.I have a pair of p.senegalus,a pair of pictus cats,a pair of spotted rafaels,1 ompak cat,1 ropefish,and my bgk.

Should have known you would have SOMETHING else in that big a tank.

Just curious how does your bgk do in with these other fish? I had one at one time and it was quite timid.

as for my bgk,he's my buddy don't see him much except for feeding but he gets along fine w/the others.i've had him for like 4 yrs now.

these are some of the cooloest fish i've ever been around,i got them eating out of my hands the first week i got them.and boy can they eat :0 ,they go after feeder just like any cichlids would and they are always playing,well except for feeding time they nip at each other like (get away from that,thats mine :grumpy: .
imo very cool fish,every one should have atleast one. :love:
