I admit I am the clumsiest person I know. Whenever I do anything it ends in disaster. Today my filter floss came. So out comes the filter so I can pop in the floss. I bloddy dropped the filter and loads of bits fell off it! I had a rubber bit a propellor thing and this metal pin scattered around my feet!!

Somehow I managed to cobble it back together and it slotted back in and it's working so I hope I did it right. I also messed up the pump and a bit flew off the tube and was on the floor and that was making a horrendous sound but I popped it back on and it's ok now.

I really panicked when I dropped that filter and the parts came off. Thank god it wasn't broken. I'm a disaster

I'm curious as to why you took out the whole filter to replace the floss?

The filter slides off the case inside the tank. Then the top comes off and the sponge slides out, the floss goes in the bottom sponge back on top but the top back on and slot it back into the other bit in the tank.

I'd love to hear your suggestions on how it should be done with my particular filter

How are your fish with fin rot? Are you cleaning the tank out on a regular basis now?

They're better every day. Actually, there's just one who has it any more and it's clearing up nicely. Thanks for asking!

I admit I'm not familiar with your filter. It certainly sounds like a lot of trouble to clean/change the floss, though. I've had days like that where everything I touch is a disaster!
