Just Identified My Amazon Sword!

My local petco often gives me unidentified plants, and I just discovered that I have a beautiful amazon sword! How tall do they get? Mine's 4 inches at the moment, I'm hoping it won't get too much taller.

i also have an amazon sword from my local pet shop they can grow really tall by the way, thought i should let you know. i know there are different types of swords too and im not sure wether that will affect what height they grow to. mine is at about 7 or 8 inches at the moment and still growing lol!

It depends on the species of echinodorus, to how big it will get. Some get to 70cm tall some stay at 4", have you got a pic?

if its a standard amazon sword mine is 22inches tall so it will grow alot more lol

Saying that, I have Echinodorus Compacta - Mine will probably only grow to about 7-10 inches tall So there's a big variety in how large they get.

The plant to the right of the sword on your photobucket looks like a non aquatic plant. You should take it out as it will start to rot and damage the water quality

Yeah, I took it out after someone on a different thread mentioned it. It's now sitting happily in my window box!
