a 15 gallon tank fully cycled heater ,pump etc
so im taking it

wondering what fish i could get to go in
i would like maybe

a few small dwarf puffer fish that only grows to 1'
and a few guppys
and maybe some bronze corys
are these ok

Comes out to about 75 litres. I think the dwarf puffers and guppys will be fine, however the corys like to be kept in groups of 6 or more, and this may overcrowd to bottom of the tank..

Is it a 15 gallon long tank, or is it more height and depth rather than length?

no its is mroe of a lengh

i have been told that the puffers may kill and attack the guppys

the guppies will make a nice snack for the puffers

if you want puffers, you could try keeping 2 or 3 probably with lots of plants in there

will they :( never mind if i got 2 what else would they eat as i would like a school of neons as they are bright would they eat them

Well if yvez9's advice is correct, they will definately make a meal of the school of neons, as they dont grow to half the size of an adult guppy. Are you set on the puffers? If not, why not think of an alternative and maybe stock your tank with the following:

Neons
Guppies
Platys Or Mollies Or Swordtails

:)

puffers are best kept in a species tank

anything too big to eat the puffers might get poisonned if they eat it, anything too small will be eaten by the puffer...

people have had varied success with otos to clean algea, i think most have been succesful but otos aren't exactly the most exciting fish!

I'd keep 2 puffers in there personnally, although i have no personnal experience with them

ok ill have to leave them coz i dont just want puffers shame how about a few glass catfish or what else is there

bronze cory's

As I stated earlier, corys are very much happier in there own company. I would not advise keeping any less than 4 in a tank, and thats at the very least.

I suppose they would be ok in a 15g, so I would say no less than 4, but no more than 6 or 7. ;)

Glass cats get too big for that tank I'm afraid :(

I'd go with either a group of neons and a group of cories, or just puffers, which are best kept by themselves.

If it doesn't have any fish in it then it can't be cycled, it may have been at some point but without a constant source of ammonia(i.e fish poop) then the beneficial bacteria that keep the tank cycled won't last long- im no expert on puffers but i have heard the most of them available require pristene water quality so if your new tank is not cycled this coule be a major issue in getting puffers..
