and Polar Ice (didn't realize he had some green)

They are both lovely and Polar Ice really suits him :D It's amazing how different lighting and angles can suddenly show colours you didn't see before.

Why thanks.
I am already seeing their personality
Blue likes to go all over the place and flare up at everything, even the plant  , and Polar just looks at him like he is weird when he flares up at him. He is more layed backish and slowly checks things out.

Oh had a question from the pics thread, but is it ok not to have a filter in the tank? I had to take mine out cause Polar kept getting stuck on it and when I switched them, so did Blue. I don't mind the extra cleaning.

Taking out the filter is fine as long as you're prepared to do regular water changes. What size is their tank?

Sounds like you've got 2 with very different personalities......you will have fun watching both of them :D

10 gal

haha yea they do and can't wait to see more of what they are like

Ok......I would do a minimum of 50% a week but you should check for any amonia and if it shows on day 3 or 4 then you know you have to change the water more often. Have you thought about running a couple of sponge filters each side. You could do that with just the one pump and no chance of your boys fins being sucked in.

Yea that sounds allot better to get the sponge. I am so used to having Bettas in a 2.5 to 5 gal. Thanks. :D

No probs.......we have mainly sponge filters in our tanks and if you get a couple of clamps for the airline you can adjust the flow to what suits them best :good:

Hi there, do you have both of your bettas in the same 10g tank? I had always thought that you couldn't have 2 together...? Also, what other kinds of small fish make a safe tankmate for bettas? Thanks for the betta info!

No you can't keep 2 males together. You can see in the first photo that there is a penplax divider which separates the two males :good:

Thanks Netty, I didn't notice the divider in the first pic. :) Your website is great by the way, love Midas!

Thanks very much :good:

Whereabouts in NC do you live?

I am in love with Deep Blue - his colouring is just amazing!

~Silver Rabbit : Hehe ty. I know, i found him and my hubby got him. It's like going deeper into the ocean with the colors. =)

~ Cdub : I have both in the 10gal but with a seperator. Though it is handy, it doesn't mean they can't still get onto the other side. Today I found Polar in Deep Blue's side and I freaked out  . Found out he jumped over. I took care of that though.

~Netty : well the two stores today Petsmart and my LPS didn't have the sponge filters, but I did find the smaller version of my whiper in-tank. The small up to 3gal one that comes with a pump. I am using that and it is doing great Polar doesn't seem to mind it one bit. It also helps him from jumping :) I am thinking of putting another one on the other side for Deep Blue.
