hi fish enthusiasts, my name is sarah, from Calgary Canada. I just acquired a 66 gallon tank and i am planning on buying some piranhas. Got any advise? Is it better to have real plants over artificial. I've already heard to avoid sharp objects in the tank and am aware of the required ph levels and temperature. Sand on the floor opposed to gravel? Low light? Which species? Web site addresses? Any insight would be much appreciated. ;)

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but 66gallon is i believe not enough tank space for more then 1.. if 1 at least, These fish are huge waste producers, a gold fish alone needs a 20 gallon

yep your tank is too small for pirhans, have you looked into whimple pirahna, smaller, or exedons, like mini phirahna.
i have a 60 gallon and if i could make the choice of what fish i want to stock it with againd id go with a rope fish in a hevily planted tank. or some sort of snakehead, but thats just me.

My dad said that he had 3 pahranas and one ended up biting off a piece of the others tail and the next day he said when he went to feed them 2 of them were gone. lol

Are you kidding Snapper, I have a 150 gallon, a 55g, and a 29g snd I can't wait till I get a bigger place so I can put in a 300+ gallon.

It's an addiction I know

Carl
