As far as i have seen, if a pet shop here doesn't use cups they put them in tanks with hundreds of other fish. Most of which i have witnessed tearing the betta to sheds (i tell staff every time i see some thing like this but they never move them). I hate cups and believe every shop should have baracks but i know it will cost to much for them to bother. So if not cups they will end up in tanks with other fish and get torn up. Its a hard one. I will sign as hopefully better betta housing will come of it

So, would you mind explaining how barracks are cheaper in the long run then?

On another note i find your mathods rahter forceful.

In that case, enter in where you are closest. Anyhow, barracks can be used many times, but with cups, well, the customer takes the cup.

CENTRAL!, it meens right in the middle, how can i be closer to one if im in the middle?

Yes but barracks have a higher start up cost, and a much higher running cost, where as the cups are probaly a hundred to a £
Yes personally i prefer it when they are kept in barracks of course i do, but its a business and it out for profit, thats what you need to understand.

What is the running cost? Also, WHICH PART OF CENTRAL AMERICA ARE YOU IN? Don't mean to be rude, but if you are in the northern part of the Central America, choose SW North America.

Personally i wont be signing, as i dont think its especially cruel, at the end of the day the cups are temporary. You cannot try to make businesses run paradise for the fish they are selling, aquatic stores dont run on an especially big profit margin as it is and also their is no chance this petition would be took seriously, sorry if i ruffle any feathers just my opinion.
I agree wholeheartedly and have been saying the same thing since the petition and this thread started almost a month ago. In almost a month, it only has 70 signatures. About 1,000,000 more and you may have something. No offense jourdy but it's time to let this thread die.

Don't let it die  Anyway IF WE COULD PASS IT AROUND we could make it. Read my post in the betta section. Also, we need to contact the main offices.

Passing it around isn't going to do any good. Unless you can collect at least a million signatures on a petition, it isn't worth the paper it's printed on and you are never going to get even a thousand on this one. As has been mentioned time and time again, the housing is only temporary. There are much bigger fish to fry so to speak than betta in cups. The best thing you can do is speak with the manager of the local store and try to get them to reduce the stock on bettas so they stock them almost on an "as needed" basis so that they don't sit on the shelves for more than a week or so before they are bought. In my opinion, the quantity of stock they carry is a much bigger problem than the cups. If they only had a week's supply, then the bettas would be in the cups for a very short time and then be in larger bowls/tanks.

Problem: Change of demmand. Sometimes things are really slow and very few, if any bettas, are sold, and they get maltreated. Goal:1000 signatures and having it sent to the main office address.

Their sales are generally fairly constant. Fish aren't seasonal like vegetables and fruit. They know what their sales are from week to week and ordering to cover that is pretty simple. Sure they have good weeks and bad weeks but as a general rule, there isn't that much difference. As for 1000 signatures, based on a month to get 70, you should have 1000 sometime near Christmas....of next year. And on top of that, when you send it to the home offices, they will pass it around, have a good laugh and toss it in the trash. As I said early in this thread, I understand and appreciate what you are trying to do but it's not going to happen, especially with just 1000 signatures which they can't verify. For all they know, you and a few friends could have put all of them there.
