hey i have a male betta in 5 uk G tank with a elite mini in it and was wondering how often i should do water change and how much as im new to the world of small tanks didnt know if it would be different to my 4 ft one cheers .

Once the filter is established (6-8 weeks) a change of up to 50% once a week is enough. If the the tank is new though, you'll have to do them more regularly, maybe even daily, until it's established (also called cycled). You could do with a test kit to get an idea of how regular changes need to be 
ah ok ye think ill do 2 a week then just do one a week like you said cheers.also i noticed that the filter makes alot of water movement and i know that bettas dont like it, but does the tank need the filtration to break the water to get oxygen in though?
