Do any of you use any kind of "stress reducing" additive when you are adding a new fish? I've seen different liquids that supposedly helps the new fish not get stressed, but I've never used them before. Just wondering if anyone else does and if it really makes a difference.

Never used stressed chemicals for releaving the stress of adding new fish. I just re-arrange the tank sometimes, and do the normal feeding of all fish after they are all together for a few minutes.

used to, but now i dont waste the money on it. If you keep salt in your tank on a reuglar basis, every time you add or do somthing the salt is a natural stress reducer.

i won't add anything, but if the fish still look stressed after a few hours with the light off, then i add methylene blue which seems to work :good:

I've heard about salt being good, but only if you don't have scale-less fish like kuhlis and cories (which I have in almost all of my tanks  ... I just love them so!)
Glad to hear I'm not the only one that doesn't use that stuff!

I used the recommended amount of salt in my tank, and there's a cory in it. He's never had any bad reactions to it.
