I have bought a 21L tank, came with aqua flow 1 200lph, am I right in thinking I will be instantly cycled if I add my mature filter media to the new filter?

have filled the tank with fresh dechlorinated water using prime, squashed my gross filter floss from mature tank in to new filter and added some api quick start. can I add fish?

have put sand sub, driftwood with anubias attached and planted vallis at the back.

Sounds ok to me, only reason i can think it wouldn't is if u left the media out of water to long and it dies, or adding to regular tap water, but im not 100%

Sounds like a good filter cloning operation. Just keep a close eye on the stats for the first couple of weeks to be sure.

This is what I did with my new tank, simply swapped media over from one external and split between two then added fish pretty much straight away & fingers crossed ... So far so good!!
